The warranty
Five years. In writing. On company letterhead.
Every Victoria Waterproofing project ships with a written warranty signed by Subhash Chander. This page tells you exactly what that means and what is covered.

Seven elements every legitimate waterproofing warranty must contain:
Company letterhead
Real company name, address, and contact details. Not a generic template.
GSTIN
Verifiable Goods and Services Tax registration number. A contractor without GST registration cannot legally issue a commercial warranty.
Customer name and project address
Specific to your site, not a generic recipient.
Project scope description
The exact work covered. A warranty is only enforceable on the scope it documents.
Warranty term and start date
Five years from the date of project completion, documented in writing.
Signature and date
Signed by Subhash Chander, owner. Not by a sales agent or a project supervisor.
Company seal
Brass-foiled company seal applied to the document at handover. Indicates the warranty has been issued through company process.
Coverage
What the 5-year warranty actually covers.
Leak recurrence at treated surfaces
If water enters a surface that was waterproofed by us, within the warranty term, the repair is at our cost.
Membrane failure under normal exposure
If the waterproofing membrane debonds, tears, blisters, or otherwise fails its specified performance, the system replacement or repair is at our cost.
Application defects
If the waterproofing fails because of an application error on our part, including inadequate substrate preparation, incorrect curing time, or installation method deviation, the rectification is at our cost.
Material defects within manufacturer warranty
Where the waterproofing material itself fails within the manufacturer's stated warranty term, we coordinate the manufacturer claim and complete the rectification at no additional cost.
Workmanship
All ancillary workmanship in the documented project scope, including expansion joint treatment, parapet detailing, drainage transitions, and accessory installation.
Exclusions
Honest exclusions, written so you know what is not in scope.
Structural damage from ground settlement or foundation movement
If the building structure itself shifts and cracks the waterproofed surface, the resulting leak is not a waterproofing failure.
Leaks from untreated surfaces
The warranty applies only to surfaces documented in the project scope.
Damage from third-party renovation work
If subsequent renovation work damages the waterproofed surface, the resulting leak is not covered.
Force majeure events
Earthquakes, severe structural impact, fire damage, and similar events that compromise the waterproofing through extraordinary loads.
Aesthetic surface degradation
Top coat colour fading under UV exposure is normal and does not indicate failure. The protective layer can be refreshed under a separate maintenance scope.
Making a claim
Four steps from issue report to rectification.
01
Report the issue
WhatsApp Subhash with the location of the leak, a photo if possible, and the project reference (the warranty document number).
02
Inspection within 7 working days
A team member visits the site to inspect the issue, identify the cause, and confirm whether it falls within warranty coverage.
03
Scope of remediation agreed in writing
If the issue is covered, we share the proposed scope of remediation, materials, and timeline. If not covered, we explain why in writing.
04
Work completed at no additional cost
Covered remediation is completed to the same warranty standard as the original work, and the warranty term continues from the original completion date.
In twenty years of operation, we have honoured every legitimate warranty claim.
Selling the property?
The warranty goes with it.
The warranty is transferable to the new owner if the property is sold within the warranty term. To transfer, the original owner sends Subhash the new owner's name, contact details, and the property address. We issue an updated warranty document in the new owner's name covering the remaining term.
There is no charge for the transfer.
Compared to a verbal promise
Three differences that matter.
Written document versus verbal promise
Ours is on company letterhead with GSTIN and a signature. A verbal promise has no enforceability when the contractor is unreachable two years later.
Named company versus individual
Victoria Waterproofing is a 20-year-old GST-registered business with 30 staff and a physical office in Sangareddy. A verbal promise from a one-man applicator depends on that one person being available.
Transferable versus personal
Ours follows the property if you sell. A verbal promise from an applicator ends the moment ownership changes.
Ask any waterproofing contractor in Sangareddy for their warranty document before you pay any advance. If they cannot produce one, you already have your answer.
Common questions
Warranty FAQs.
Is the warranty actually enforceable, or is it just marketing language?
It is enforceable. The warranty is a contractual document issued by a GST-registered Indian business. In 20 years of operation, no claim has reached a legal stage because every legitimate claim is honoured.
What happens to my warranty if Victoria Waterproofing stops trading?
Victoria Waterproofing has been operating for over 20 years and continues to expand its team and operations. In the unlikely event of business closure, the warranty would remain a documented contractual obligation.
Does the warranty cover monsoon damage?
Yes. The warranty covers leak recurrence and waterproofing failure during normal monsoon exposure. That is the entire reason the warranty exists.
Can I extend the warranty beyond 5 years?
For certain enterprise projects, longer warranty terms are negotiable as part of the project commercial terms. For standard residential and commercial work, the 5-year term is the standard.
Will the warranty document hold up for a procurement audit?
Yes. The document includes the company GSTIN, registration details, project scope, warranty term, and authorised signature, which are the standard elements a procurement auditor requires.
I am a small homeowner with a 600 sq ft terrace. Do I get the same warranty as a large developer?
Yes. Same document, same five-year term, same signature, same enforceability. The warranty terms do not vary by project size.
